Philadelphia Eagles fans have rallied around the "Dutch Destroyer," the story of Lukas Kusters and his relationship with quarterback Carson Wentz. Kusters gave Wentz a "Dutch Destroyer" bracelet during his Make-A-Wish visit to the NovaCare Complex in May.
Since the story of Wentz's relationship with Kusters aired on ESPN, the Kusters family have been making bracelets by the thousands. Rebecca Burmeff, Kusters' mother, announced the family has sold over 31,000 bracelets and raised $192,000.
"We have gotten so much support and love from all over the world. Not just in bracelet sales, but in people sending encouragement and support and telling us how their story touched their lives in different ways," Burmeff said to ESPN. "It's been just wonderful."

Kusters did of cancer just 13 days after finally getting his opportunity to meet Wentz. He was 10 years old.
All the money raised will go to families and organizations fighting childhood cancers.
"I think we have this unique opportunity that unfortunately so many other people don't get where we're able to take this horrible, horrible loss and make something good from it," Burmeff said. "That's very important to me, so that's really what's driving me right now: Keeping Lukas' memory alive. There's people literally all over the country wearing his bracelet and carrying him and his message with them."
Lukas will be honored at North Dakota State this weekend. The Kusters family will be there to visit the North Dakota Make-A-Wish Foundation.
