  • What have you done for me lately?

    It’s funny how one game changes everything;

Last week the story was that the Eagles shouldn’t be concerned with Foles and the offense but rather it’s the defense that is the issue.

This week it’s the exact opposite.

I don’t think anyone realizes how bad that weather was on Christmas Day and how it hurt both offenses.

    So which is it?

It’s both really. I’m worried about both the O and the D but at the same time, I think both are capable of playing solid football.

    I agree.

I'm still worried about offenses copying the Giants scheme. And, I'm worried about the offense in general without Wentz.

As far as this week is concerned, I still feel that the defense should rest as many guys as possible, and Foles would probably benefit from playing in order to get reps, and if you play him, you have to play everyone else. At least for a half.

Foles is good enough but he can also play pretty bad he’s way streakier than any quarterback really heading into the playoffs.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

Last week I heard someone on the radio saying that if they trade Foles in the off-season to free up cap space, they shouldn't do it for anything less than a late-1st round pick.

This week there were tweets during the game from people saying it was time to give Nate Sudfeld a look because he couldn't be any worse.

Sports fans in general sure are a bi-polar bunch.

The new star on the block was Denver's Trevor Sieman in September. The argument was whether he was "elite" or not lol. You're only as good as your last game in the NFL.

A week or 2 ago Osweiler played a decent game. I heard talk on ESPN that Denver should sign him long term. Yeah, it’s what you’ve done lately.

I think the bad weather conditions in the last games will effect most QB's. Both Foles and Carr looked bad.

One of the things I was really looking forward to with Wentz in the playoffs, was the cold weather games at the Linc. Wentz seems built for those cold weather games with his strong arm and legs. And, he played football in what is probably the most cold and windy state in the USA.

If we had Wentz, JP and Hicks available for the playoffs, my expectations for a SB would have been really high. Instead, I will be surprised if they win 1 game. I just feel that this is an average team right now with so many missing pieces.

I am 100% most worried about Foles. Missing simple reads. Looking like a statue. Hell, even though he had 4 TD passes vs the Giants, some of those passes were wobbling ducks and WIIIIIIIIDE open wrs

D I am OK with. They had a tough day vs a very good offense in LA and the scheme vs the Giants was just a week one I wouldn't expect in a playoff game or a game that was crucial

I hate to be that guy, but I am not expecting much with Foles. I'm praying for 20 points and our D to win games for us

As much as they had a dynamic offense under Wentz, I feel like they are going to have to try and play slow ball now. Run the ball, burn as much time off the clock as possible, and play defense.

In other words play ‘winter ball’. It’s bad weather time of the season. Luckily the Eagles have two keys that will help them at this time of year; two built-to-bruise RBs in Blount and Ajayi and a quick third back with good moves. Throw in the top rated run defense and we can be effective moving the ball while limiting the other guys....

I'm not worried about Foles being as bad as he was in the last game. The problem is that Foles tends to have a clunker about one out of every 3 games and you don't know when it's coming. That's fine during the regular season, but when you need 3 decent games from him in a row in the play-offs against really good teams, it would seem like the odds are pretty slim that all of a sudden he strings together 3 good games in a row.

I'd be worried if Wentz was playing. Now I'm just more worried.
