  • Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers

In 2017, while going 13-3, the Eagles intercepted 19 passes and recovered 12 fumbles, 31 takeaways. They relinquished nine interceptions and 11 fumbles, giving them a plus-11 turnover ratio that ranked fourth in the league. This season, they have plucked only four interceptions, and the Maddox-Jenkins fumble recovery was just their third in eight games. They have thrown three interceptions and coughed up a whopping nine fumbles, for a minus-five turnover ratio that is tied for 25th in the NFL, with the Jets and Cardinals. That is not a good neighborhood to live in, as you look to show the rest of the NFC East who's still the boss this Sunday night against Dallas.

Absolutely. I think I have read data in the past that shows teams that win have a plus turnover margin. Winning is tough if you get every series; if you cough it up once or twice it is damn near impossible to win on a regular basis
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
    Hope is not a strategy

I think that's the reason for Andy's success to tell you the truth. He simply wouldn't play a fumbler. McNabb was always criticized for holding onto the ball too long but he would take the sack rather than risk an INT. I remember once somebody asked him what the difference between him and Farve was and he sheepishly answered "more careful with the ball?" They won a hell of a lot of games that way when the only two playmakers that they had were #5 and Westbrook.

As for this year with our schedule it's pretty clear that anybody can beat anybody. I don't have the stats in front of me but I'll bet that the games that we lost were because we
      out turnovered the opponent.

chicken or the egg--- since the day football started ---

Does the fumbling make you a losing team or does the non fumbling make you a winner--- which comes first?

        Not 100% but pretty close.

When you have a big upset it's guaranteed that the favorite turned it over at least 4 times.

60 we agree--- but it's not new, been that way since football started, not 100% but a very high percentage.
