There could be other changes on the offensive staff as well. Running back coach Thomas Hammock is reportedly a top candidate for the head coaching job at Northern Illinois, his alma mater. Mornhinweg has been asked to remain a part of the staff in a different role.

Mornhinweg guided rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson through his first NFL season. Jackson, who was selected with the Eagles' original 32nd overall pick, led the Ravens to the playoffs. He completed 99 of 170 passing attempts for 1,201 passing yards, six passing touchdowns and three interceptions as a passer. The majority of his success came on the ground, as he rushed for 695 yards and five touchdowns on 147 carries.

The Eagles were able to land tight end Dallas Goedert and defensive back Avonte Maddox by trading their first-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens earlier this year.
Mornhinweg’s unit finished second in the league in rushing offense, averaging 152.6 rushing yards per game. However, the group ranked 22nd overall in passing offense. Still the offense overall was ranked ninth-best in the league upon the conclusion of the season.
Mornhinweg has been with the Ravens since 2015. He started his tenure as quarterbacks coach before being promoted to offensive coordinator in 2016. Prior to his arrival in Baltimore, he spent two seasons as the New York Jets offensive coordinator.
Mornhinweg spent 10 seasons with the Eagles during the Andy Reid era (2003-2012). The play-caller served in several roles, including offensive coordinator and assistant head coach. He was the assistant head coach during Reid’s lone trip to the Super Bowl. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was also on that staff.
