The Philadelphia Eagles released former Penn State cornerback Trevor Williams on Friday, Daniel Gallen of Pennlive reports. This according to ESPN. The Eagles roster is now down to 66 players ahead of Saturday’s 4 p.m. deadline to reach the in-season maximum of 53. Williams, 26, was buried on the cornerback depth chart despite his track record of NFL experience.
