Grimes should have been drafted. I sometimes don’t understand the draft. Grimes could quickly develop into a younger and healthier Alshon without the injury or diva concerns. Grimes was on my short list. You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

I saw him ranked as 21st best receiver, and in two different places the 123rd and 212 best player in the draft so you would think he would’ve been drafted. Good pickup with a good chance to make the team. We have Lots of receivers but no one has stood out yet. Ward is okay, Fulghum showed flashes, Hightower is fast but didn’t take advantage of his chances last year, etc.Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
Hope is not a strategy

Jeez. Just looking at his video, you would have thought that someone would have taken a flyer on him in the 6th or 7th. Even if he is not the best route runner or quickest athlete, he is big and can get up there.
I wonder if playing behind Pitts and Toney at Florida held him back a bit when it comes to numbers ?
He is going to be hard to keep off the roster. Hopefully this spells the end of JJAW for good.

I think the argument that the WR room doesn't have talent in it is going to come to a screeching halt this year. JJAW is a goner. My prediction is the WR room is:
DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor, Travis Fulgham, Quez Watkins, Hightower, Trevon Grimes.
I think Ward is the odd man out here too unless they keep 7 WRs and 2 TEs which they might because if Ertz is still around I see no reason a third TE should ever get on the field. Khalil Tate is not going to factor either. I could see the Eagles unloading Fulgham for a late round pick. I hope they don't trade Reagor but I could see that as well if a team would give them a third for the kid just to help with the depth.
They have size and speed here now. And in Smith they have an elite player. You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

On paper, that is a fine, young receiving corp. Fulgham and Grimes appear to be pretty similar. They may end up fighting for a roster spot eventually.Originally posted by andrewaters View PostI think the argument that the WR room doesn't have talent in it is going to come to a screeching halt this year. Letting Reagor go for a 3rd would be an admission that he was a mistake drafting him in the 1st. I wonder if Howie would actually agree to that this early ?
The NFC East WR's as a whole are getting pretty loaded. Dallas was already loaded. The Giants are getting there with Toney and the others. Other than Smith and Reagor if he improves, our guys don't have the early round pedigrees. But, there is some really talent there.

No doubt there is talent there. There was talent there last year. Its going to be up to the coaching staff to get the most out of them. I think they keep six WR. Only locks are Smith & Reagor in my opinion. The rest of these guys are in for a dog fight.Originally posted by andrewaters View PostI think the argument that the WR room doesn't have talent in it is going to come to a screeching halt this year. The next safest would be Ward because he can flat out catch the ball and shockingly Siarrani actually values that (saying that tongue and cheek)
After that It I am sure JJAW is next in line as Howie still loves that pick. Grimes probably makes it to as the coaching staff likes him.
I think Watkins makes it as he will be used as he should have last year as the kickoff and punt returner.
So Fulgham and Hightower are most likely out if they keep six.
.Were from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

Not saying they are bad nor am I am saying they don’t have some talent but they look better because they are ours. I would just say the Grimes, an UDFA, stands just as good of a chance to be the 3 or 4 receiver. That says the ones that are there are not top tier.
on another note I would say Smith should
make them all better.Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy

NoDak... that is absolutely TRUE. We tend to make excuse and be OK with our guys and look at them through green and silver tinted glasses. That said, I really like Reagor a lot. I think year 2 he is going to break out. That's just how I feel. You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

Agree aw, Reagor is a legit player I just don't think he had enough help last year and he was a rook and nagging injury, etc. He will be okay with Smith. I also think having those two will help others. Hightower got free a couple times but just didn't catch the ball. I would expect that might change this year.Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy

I gave up on him but he did improve the last few games. That's all we need is another gagger."Hey Giants, who's your Daddy?"

Personally, I have higher hopes for Quez than Hightower. Too bad Quez was injured most of last season. Hightower was targeted 29 times last year and only game up with 10 receptions. Not good. But, it was his rookie year.Originally posted by Eagle60 View PostI gave up on him but he did improve the last few games. That's all we need is another gagger.

A lot of guys fell because they opted out. It was a weird year for sure. Don't think anyone should have been penalized for that though.Originally posted by andrewaters View PostGrimes should have been drafted. I sometimes don’t understand the draft.
