  • Seumalo Out For Season

    Lisfranc sprain
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

I guess I am getting tired of hearing about bad luck with injuries. I know bad luck comes into it but as my sig states hope is not a strategy. They went into the season hoping Brooks didn't get injured AGAIN. Hoping Lane Johnson could come back from injury, hoping Dickerson can come back from injury, etc. Seamalu has been injured before. As much as I love what he brings to the table Brandon Graham has been injured before and is not a spring chicken. Maybe it is just me but older players injure more. Players with previous injuries injure more. They need to plan on losing these type players during the year
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
    Hope is not a strategy
    RIP

Guy has one full season under his belt. Our training staff, weight and conditioning program - something -on teh bigger guys seems to create this mess. I'd look internally at what we are doing with OL/DL and rethink.

Not to mention that they just gave the Mailman $40 million and 2 years in a row he had bad back problems.

Why do I even get my hopes up every year regarding injuries. After we came out of the first game healthy, I thought that this was finally the year. But, in 2 games we lose 4 starting linemen (2 for the season). I give up.

Did Siriani not bring in his own conditioning team?

or does this fall under Howie’ org?

Seriously, what difference does it make? They've brought in new conditioning teams year after year. Injuries just happen in football. It's been like that since the sport started. Heck, Roosevelt banned it when he was President because it was so dangerous. Shit happens but at dome point you would think that we'd get more luck with them.

Maybe it’s just hometown bias but we’re always getting hit with the injury bug. And other teams lose 1 or 2 key players but never as much as we do.
