I am not a believer of trading within your division but Howie doesn’t seem opposed to that idea. Any chance he is trying to peddle one of our OL to the girls considering their injuries?
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
    Hope is not a strategy

      fuck it, fleece them Howie
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

They also need WR help right now. I am concerned about them picking up one of our WR's that doesn't make the roster and having them succeed. That is one reason that I am hoping Howie trades Reagor to someone outside the division. Reagor would probably love to play in his hometown (Dallas).

Dillard and Reagor for __________? What would be an acceptable return to trade those two to Dallas? Could that be a 2? I would think you'd want a starter (at least) coming back as you wouldn't want to give a division rival two potential starters for just picks as you'd want to weaken them this year in another area. I'm not advocating it but I'd be interested in the board's opinion on what those two would be worth to a team with those exact needs and would probably have a premium attached for an intra-division move.

No way Jose to Dallas for picks. Why would you want to help them? As you said they are both legit starters. I think the longer we hold onto them the better. As the season goes on either we or someone else will need him. Do you remember that Malaita has had several back injuries? I'm not in a hurry to trade anybody right now. The longer we hold onto them the more valuable they become.

Interesting question. Neither are worth much on their own and for a team that needs an upgrade neither are an upgrade really. But to a team in need they are fairly attractive; esp Dillard. A two might not be unreasonable but more likely a 3 that could be a two with conditions or maybe a three with some safety or RB that may or may not make our roster. A practice squad guy.
Dillard’s lack of versatility certainly has to hurt him in the Eagle’s eyes

There is no way in hell I’d trade a potential long term solution at left tackle to the freaking Cowboys. Are you guys nuts? Tyron Smith hasn’t played a full season since 2015. The Cowboys offensive line is an issue because they haven’t invested heavily on it. They’re thin, and it could potentially wreck their offense, and some of you guys want to trade them a hand up?? Fuck that shit. I hope their line implodes and Dak gets his ass kicked all season long. No way I’m trading Dillard to them.

It would require a pretty steep draft pick from Dallas, for me. If they offered a 1st, of course you trade him. If they offered a 2nd, which is well more than we're likely to get anywhere else, it's an interesting question. I'd take a 3rd from almost any other team, but not them, since that could be the difference in who wins the division.

Saints also lost an OL, and that is another perfect Dillard trade scenario (team wants to compete, has little OL depth, loses one for just this season, has cap issues). But of course we want them to be as bad as possible too, since we have their first round pick. So it would also take more from them than some other teams.

Keeping Dillard as Mailata injury insurance is also a good idea, so definitely not giving him away. Not sure I'd trade him for a 4th to anyone, and definitely not anything lower than that.

I'd be willing to trade Reagor for much less, even to the Cowboys (but not willing to release him). But he'd be in much less demand. Cowboys should be getting Gallup back during the season, so not sure how much they would want to pay.

They may try to just move that raw 1st round draft pick to LT, which was the eventual succession plan, though they had him playing LG this preseason. They will take their lumps early but maybe he learns on the job.

What Amy Winehouse said ….. no no no …. unless it’s a 1 for Dilbert and a 3 for Reagor.

Cowboys fan site now recommending they sign Jason Peters as a replacement:

Maybe they'll be even *more* desperate a couple games into the season when Peters pulls a muscle or something.
