    Rendell on Kolb Pick

    Well, we knew this guy would get involved sooner or later...after all he is a sports expert, right?

    "The last time Ed Rendell was this critical of an Eagles draft pick, he was only the mayor of Philadelphia. Now he's the governor of Pennsylvania, but no less outspoken when it comes to his favorite football team.
    "It boggles the entire mind," Rendell told Bloomberg Television when asked about the Eagles' decision to use their top draft pick on University of Houston quarterback Kevin Kolb. "It was stunning to all of us."

    Rendell said the Eagles should have used their top draft choice on Southern Cal wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett, who was taken nine picks after Kolb by the Carolina Panthers.

    "I think we are going to rue the day we didn't pick him," Rendell said."

    Hey, Ed, how is that McNabb vs. Williams comparison doing again? Glad to see you have such a good track record on your predictions...

        All you need to read from that piece is ----"Gov. Rendell, who, as Philadelphia's mayor, wanted the Eagles to draft running back Ricky Williams over Donovan McNabb in 1999, has some more free advice to the team about its draft choices." ---- ummmm , yeh, nothing to see here just move along folks.

          Andy should have called Ed before the pick to let him know that he didn't have anything to worry about. Of course he may not have been available to answer and still have been befuddled

                Rendell is a tool of John Holmes proportions.

                      I wonder.......the fact that Mcnabb seems to still hold resentment for that period.......if part of that doesn't stem from the fact that Williams has been such a collossal Bust

                        When is the media going to stop forcing these so called "experts" down our throats? Cheering for a team doesn't make you an expert -- if it did everyone on this board would have a consulting contract with the Eagles. Let's get this straight, I don't care what Ed Rendell thinks. I don't give a shit what Sam and Wilma McNabb think.

                            FWIW, the mayor of Baltimore and governor of Maryland haven't chimed in yet with their opinions on Steve McNair or Kyle Boller. Will keep you all posted.

                              MD if we start to list everyone in the media who as no clue and no business being there we'd exceed the forum bandwidth! Rendell and Ma & Pa McNabb are not part of the media, yet we constantly see and hear what they think. As for Ashley Fox, at least she has a column in the paper which makes her as relevant as Stephen A Smith!!! We all know how "tuned in" he is!!!
