  • PFT: Deebo Apparently Upset by Interviewer's Eagle Question

I hope the Eagles beat the brakes off of these guys...

49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has had plenty to say about the Eagles this offseason, but he’s apparently done dealing with that topic.

Samuel, who has previously said the 49ers would have beaten the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game if Brock Purdy had been healthy, was asked about that in an interview with Zach Gelb of CBS Sports Radio.

“I mean, I said what I said,” Samuel replied.

Samuel was then asked about the 49ers-Eagles rematch this season.

“I don’t know. Just wait until Week 13, 12, whatever week it is, and we’ll show you,” Samuel said.

With that, a woman’s voice, apparently the public relations person who arranged the interview, was heard saying, “Hey, guys, alright, we’re good to go.” And that was the end of the interview, with Samuel apparently too upset about being asked about the Eagles to continue.

Gelb said he was told he would get 15 minutes with Samuel, but that Samuel talked for only five or six minutes. It’s unclear why Samuel suddenly refused to talk about a subject he was willing to discuss earlier, but it surely won’t be the last time Samuel is asked about the Eagles.

I don't blame the 49ers for being upset. If the same thing happened to us we would still be crying about it. It was a terrible break for the 49ers but they certainly shouldn't blame the Eagles for it. Shit happens. it happened to us a couple of times in the playoffs too.

Fuck em, they didn’t block, their QBs were assaulted by our Defense. I don’t care what QB they put out there, he was gonna get bashed

Yea everyone gets bad breaks and they got a big one. Cry me a river. The birds were flying high and gutting anyone in their path. 49ers had a good team. It might’ve been a closer game. But I don’t doubt the birds win it if they had Garrapalo; I don’t doubt the birds win it if they had Lance; I don’t doubt the birds win it if they had Purdy all game. That vaunted 49er defense didn’t stop the birds so maybe they should cry about that. Don’t know what the teams will look like this year come game time but I know what the birds looked like last year.
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
        Hope is not a strategy
        RIP

Yeah I am sick of hearing them bitch about that game and the Eagles. All we did was play the game and we won. Contrary to what they may think, they were not entitled to the game. They needed to earn the win and they didn’t. The way they cry you’d think they expected the Eagles to sit Hurts to make it fair or maybe we should have just forfeited instead. Fuck ‘em! This is why they’re known as the Forty-Whiners. They’re a bunch of self-entitled, candy-ass bitches!!

Losing their QB had nothing to do with us dominating their defense.

We did have it happen to us, in 2019. Wentz got concussed on a cheap shot and McCown had to play with a hamstring torn off the bone.
I don’t remember Eagle fans crying at all about rule changes. We chalked it up to bad luck, something we are very familiar with. And some “fans” blamed Wentz for being soft.

It has been well documented that the Shanahan scheme exposes the QB to some unnecessary hits. This goes back to the RGIII days. The Dolphins and McDaniels were running the same stuff with Tua and look how that turned out.
There is a reason the 9ers were down to their undrafted rookie QB in week 10 or whatever it was.
Shanahan needs to take a good long look in the mirror.

I guess Purdy was the final pick of the draft but you get the idea.

Was it a bad break... of course. But it was not a flukey break. The Birds were the superior team and we showed it in all phases. We ran the ball at them. We stopped them on offense and exposed their OL with our pressure.

A flukey break is when you get to the Super Bowl and the damn turf is like ice, benefitting the offenses and crippling the best part of our Defense... the Dominating DL which had 4 guys eclipse 10 sacks. Thats a flukey break that cost the Birds the Super Bowl.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.
