Heard an interview with an NFL insider (whatever that means) on NFL radio. Said inmates are running the asylum in Philly and the D is full of individuals not teammates.
Who knows how inside this guy is but that take doesn’t surprise me.

When expectations are high, losing can take it's toll. Look at Dallas after the Saints debacle. Those guys were on the verge of coming apart.

Winning cures ills. If (big if) the team comes out of the bye healthy and dominates the Browns, the rumors will settle down.

only until the next time the birds are unprepared to play. Recent history says that will happen sooner rather than later.

I think there's a lot of truth to what all of you guys said. Man if that's true what the hell was going to happen when BG retires? I like Slay as a player but he is definitely a mercenary and I remember that he really came out and said that in an interview a couple of years ago.

I agree winning cures ills. Takes good teammates not good individuals to win. So it is a chicken and egg thing. Talented people with good chemistry win and the ills are cured. They all say they are great teammates; they said that last year also.
I thought CJG being back would bring some swagger to the others in D but that didn’t happen.

playing like a team might take some time.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

If our missing Stars are back and we lose to the Browns in the next game, I agree we will be in big trouble and things will get worse.

I think there's a lot of frustration by the players because the coaching staff is doing a poor job with scheme. Especially on defense. I don't think Hurts has any faith in Sirianni whatsoever, regardless of what he says into the microphone.

100% EB. never understood how you bring in this all-NFL D coordinator that is old as some of us and has a known "system", not have the players for that scheme and not adapt your defense to match the talent/depth or skills they have. Same can be said for offense/defense. If the Defense is struggling, find an offense that sucks up clock or gets way out in front early and forces teh opposing offense to reduce the playbook. That is probably why I am where I am and they are coordinators

I’ve always questioned Slay. He’s so damned off his rocker and oblivious about winning as a team.

we were so desperate to fill the safety spot that CGJ was the choice. Has his moments but us kind of a clown. How are his antics leadership

Jalen Carter is a great player, but kind of a knucklehead.

who are the leaders on D? And can they even get a word in when the unit has Slay and CGJ?

Even if this team turns it around and does great things. It’s time to move on from Slay and Chauncey. The play ain’t worth the sideshows.

I saw an anonymous player poll cited CJG most annoying player in NFL. Players (not coaches) talking s*** is fine by me although you have to have the knack for it. BG talks all the time but isn’t a knucklehead about it.

CJ is a good player he really sounds like a jerk. I can't complain about his effort though.
