Good suggestion Popper. There are thousands of victims who aren't celebrity multimilionaires.

      Hey I’m in California…

luckily I’m in the north and unaffected.

If someone knows of a legit charity please post. Unfortunately there are a lot of scams out there.

I’m happy to contribute, but there is nothing ethical with Red Cross. I think less than 5 cents per dollar makes it to families

You need to research charities. The majority are bogus
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

Agree there are A LOT of scams out there. Even legit ones use more money to pay the board than they do for relief. From personal flood disaster experience I will say the Salvation Army came in and helped a lot to ease the burden.
I know there is a thing called the Cal Fire Foundation that was in place long before the fires and they are taking donations
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
              Hope is not a strategy

                I would suggest Samaritans Purse.

I already donated and my wife donated again. The celebrities are getting the attention but the rest of LA are normal folks who just lost everything. I can't help but feel bad for them and try to help.
