Full disclosure i am huge Becton fan. Coached at the high school he graduated from and he went to the same college as my daughter. I have met his family and let me tell you he got the size honestly. Both Mom and Dad are large human beings. Really great family. Humble as well. So when he came to the Eagles I was ecstatic! With all that being said I can't see how he can turn down the huge payday the Texans or Jags or maybe even the Pats offer him! Would be sad to see him go but he also shows just how damn good Stout is! I have full confidence in Stout having Steen or someone else ready to go!

Becton also made a fair number of the mistakes in protection last game. His highs are more than what Steen could ever do but he also may have more lapses. Of course, he could still improve himself.
We couldn't keep Seumalo. We are paying Mailata, Dickerson, and Johnson, and it's time to pay up for Jurgens. We can't pay all five big money. Becton would have to take a heck of a discount to stay. Anything is possible but quality lineman are in short supply and I'd have to imagine Becton will get good offers.
I'm sure we will offer him enough to get a compensatory pick back, provided we don't sign someone else to replace him. Unsure how much space we'll have down the road -- Jalen Carter comes next offseason, and his 5th year option number will likely be the franchise tag. Nolan Smith maybe too.
Let's enjoy the next (hopefully) two games with Becton then see what happens.Comment
