  • Billick to Philly?

    From Domo:

    * Don't be shocked if Brian Billick, who was fired earlier this week as the Ravens' head coach, winds up as an offensive consultant on Andy Reid's staff. Billick and Reid are longtime friends. You might recall that Reid brought another pal, Marty Mornhinweg, on board after he was fired by the Lions 5 years ago.
That would be a surprise but a welcome one IMO. While Baltimore floundered on offense, I still think Billick has a good offensive mind. I didn't know he was a WCO type guy. He didn't run it to my knowledge but again, another set of good offensive eyes would help.

Billick is an egomaniac and I have no idea how he'd be able to come in and be third fiddle to Reid/Marty and Co. on the offensive side.

Dude honestly believes that his farts don't stink.

Trust me. I've been in Baltimore awhile and he's not a good fit for Philly.

Agree with BP. Not a good fit, and just an awful talent evaluator as well.

Not so sure about that LG & BP.I had a chance to meet Billick & his wife(man, talk about Mutt & Jeff, she's around 4'10) at UMMC when my wife's Mom was in surgery.Had a chance to talk with Billick for @ 20minutes(this was the year they drafted Lewis & Travis Talyor) and Billick and Big Red are pretty tight.I'm not sure but I think Billick graduated in '76 and Reid was a couple years later. One thing Brian knows is the TE & WR spots. If Reid is looking to upgrade those spots(and I am NOT a big fan of Billick) then Culley should be looking over his shoulder.
Just give me ONE before I go!

So Brian Billick - who once won a Super Bowl as the head coach of an NFL team - will now be our WR's coach?

I just don't see him coming here. For such an "offensive genius" what has he ever done offensively?

              * He told Randall Cunningham to throw jump balls to Randy Moss and Cris Carter and hand off to Robert Smith. All while they were in their prime.

              That's his legacy.

I have no idea if he would take anything if he was even asked but football is in your blood. I could see Andy talking to him and making him a special assistant of something in order to get his thoughts on what needs changing. Esp if they go back a long way.

If it wins us a SB you could bring in Hoge as GM and Sapp as our coach.
