That fucking sucks. I can't believe how many horrible throws Eli got away with on the last drive.

I was so torn about who to root for. I actually admire the Giant organization and don't really mind Eli. Washington and Dallas, I really hate them -- they're Mickey Mouse all the way. But I've always respected the Maras and how they run their team.

Still, it really bugs the hell out of me that the Giants have three Super Bowls, the Redskins 3 and the Cowboys however many they have. All these years of striving, we really have nothing to show for it. The Eagles really crapped the bed against Tampa and Carolina.

This is what really bugs me. Eli & Coughlin with a ring before us. This is crazy. In terms of NFL history - we are the doormat of the division. Once we win a SB - there will be no doubt that the NFC East is the best division in the history of football. It actually is now probably - we're just not that big a part of it.

It doesn't make any sense. I can't even fathom that forever Eli Manning will be a Super Bowl winning QB. He's terrible.

And they are THE team that derailed the run of what was supposed to be One of the Greatest Teams in NFL History ?!!?

Well, aparently not. Look, I'm not ready to annoint Eli as the next Montana, but whatever he was yesterday, it wasn't terrible. In fact it was some of the most clutch play that I have seen, and ballsy and showed some true grit and mental toughness. Something I ws SURE he was lacking before this season. But Eli has gotten progressivley better as he has gone along, capped off by a great finish for a Super Bowl victory. I imagine his brother and father are extremely proud, as they should be.

Look, I know that we are all pissed, depressed or both. And Manning really annoys us all. But he has really improved this last part of the season and playoffs. He's going to be a thorn in the side for years to come.

Agreed. I just don't like people living in denial. I'm not saying that he's great or better than McNabb. But, he's improved and we should recognize that.

Sorry guys but Eli throws a Feeleyesque pass right to Assante ("I want 10 mil a yr) Samuel who lets it go right through his hands. Then he throws another one right before the TD pass to Burress that Merriweather should have had. Tyree catch was Favrian throw as well. Eli made a great throw to the TE. He made another great throw to Tyree for the TD but I am not ready to anoint his ass. He is ELI MANNING !!!

i definitely agree. i've been coming around on Eli throughout this year -- his decision-making has improved a lot. He still makes some head-scratching throws, but he's improving all the time.

You guys have to be kidding... Eli Manning SUCKS!!! He is the definition of Sucks! He should have been mentioned by name by Will Farrell or in the cavemen in those commercials yesterday!! He threw into double and triple coverage the entire 4th quarter. He comes out of the huddle with a play in his mind and doesn't read the coverage -- he just goes with the play. He locks in on the player and forces the ball. To his credit he gets rid of it quickly before the Defense has time to react - but he could easily have had 3-4 picks yesterday instead of just the one. He got lucky and in all honesty, I would say that although he's improved this season, his teammates are adjusting to him much more. They are covering his mistakes and bailing his ass out. I honestly think the Giants won IN SPITE of him yesterday, not because of him. But that's not to say that he won't or can't become a solid QB in the future.

Does he cave in next year under the pressure and expectations of a Championship team with the tough schedule, low draft picks and the target on their back? Or does the win take away any lingering doubts in his mind and free him up to simply play the game? He really could go either way. If it's the latter he may progress into a better player - I don't think he'll ever be a top QB, but he could become a better one than he has been. His true stripes will show in the next 2 years, but as of yesterday I saw a guy who was still making terrible decisions but somehow managed to get away with them.

I agree with Kcas and Juke. I think Manning is better than what he was but far from being a top QB. I'm not going to fear the guy.

He plays well at times and bad at others. He tried to give the game away last night but the Pats wouldn't take it. He is what he is.Which is a QB that could beat you or do something really dumb and gift wrap you the game.

It really irritates me when people say that Manning won the game. Manning didn't lose the game, the Giants Defense won this game.

Ahh, yes! The wonders of a fearsome pass-rush! IMO that is what really carried the day for the Giants. Hopefully the Eagles now grab someone effective to pair with Cole.
