Pretty much they say, "nice f'ing TV"

Actually my TV was purchased as a vasectomy gift to myself. As I was watching fumes from my ball sack floating toward the ceiling (laser surgery) all I could think was "I should have gone bigger". My 57" has served me well but I do covet a 65.

I actually have a 57" tv in the basement but i rarely ever watch it. It's great for movies but for everything else, sometimes i realize it's ridiculous -- especially for non HD channels. Mostly I watch HD stuff via my computer monitor.

I've got a 55" in the rec room. Could have gone bigger ecxept the niche for it won't handle anything bigger, and I wasn't about to renovate the ouse for a TV. It all depends on sitting distance. The 42 in the bedroom is easily big enough. The 55 in the rec room could be a bit larger. If you have a cozy sitting area that you are watching from, you're OK with a smaller screen. If you are in a bar, NO screen is big enough,

Well. My wife and I just bought our first home and had a budget to get the house ready. Hardwood floors, lighting, grill, deck furniture, kitchen stuff etc. The TV is part 1 of like 5 for me as I build out the finished basement for my man cave. I was going to go 46 inch bravia but this was a great deal and its my first foray into high def so I didn't want to overdo it. My 36 inch wega from 99 has been incredible but I know its jealous. I'm still young. LOL.

46", Sony Bravia, XBR2, perfect for the room. Starting to look for anew one for the BR don't think I want anything bigger than 26" there.

Re: Sony Bravia 40 inch (HDTV)

I got my cables on this site: http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp

I paid $150 for the bracket which I think is too much but I needed it that day b/c my brother in law was at my house to help.

Here is the scoop on the HDMI cables: These cables are sending a digital (not analog) signal so that means just "0"s and "1"s. The signal either reaches the TV or it doesn't. Interference is either going to completely block the signal or it won't. So monster's claim or triple super duper NSA level shielding don't do squat.

I had no problem paying more for the wall bracket due to my immediate need and the fact that it is holding my 50"plasma on the wall and I have two small kids. (I wouldn't want them to crack the screen with their heads you know)

The link I posted up top of this post also has what appears to be the same exact wall bracket for 1/2 the price I got at Best Buy. I got my cable in 4 days. I am not saying they'd get the wall mount to you that fast but they seem to do a good job. They also have the cable that is rated for in wall use (which I got) which is a cable that is fire resistant or something like that which Monster doesn't offer.

Sears was running a clearance on the 26inch Samsungs. That is the one I bought a few weeks back, it was $349.00. Which is a GREAT price. This is the time of the year to buy one, the new models are coming out soon.

Thanks to everyone for some wisdom here. Vet turf -I'm in no rush on the wall mount so i'll look at that offer and see if it's compatible with my unit - thanks!
