Patriots / Colts has no long history behind it. But ESPN loves it.

Cowboys/Redskins needs to be on that list.

You have to be kidding me with the Colts/Pats at #1... This is just another reason why I hate ESPN, and the rest of the media outlets that are way too high on themselves... I'm sure they will love the Manning/Cassell matchup in the playoffs.

Washington fans are justifiably outraged!! This MUST NOT be allowed to stand!!

Clayton has badly hurt the feelings of many Skins' fans by not including the Wash vs Dallas rivalry on his list.
They are planning a huge protest rally in front of the Washington Monument where they threaten to hold their
collective breaths until John Clayton makes a public apology and admits that the Skins vs Boys rivalry is the
greatest of all time, including the Christians vs the Lions, circa 39 AD!

As far as current rivalries I can see his point, but definitely not over the course of years. But, even as a current rivalry I would definitely put Eagles/Giants over Eagles/Cowboys. No matter how good the Eagles or Giants are the game is usually coming down to the final minutes and many times something weird happens in the game that just can't be explained.

I think "current" is really accurate. Colts-Pats didn't matter until 2000. If he really wanted to be correct, he should have just said, "Anytime and NFC East team plays another NFC East team." and put that at #1.
