  • Just like last year

    Red zone opportunities wasted

    Run game sucks

Akers erratic -- i dont care that the two he missed were long, he should have made one.

I can't believe this team trailed by 7 at the half, forced turnovers three times in Chi territory, hardly gave up a 1st down the whole second half -- and scored six fucking points. Same goddamn self-destructive tendencies.

Not so sure that rusing for 107 on 20 carries sucks, but OK.

Akers should be expected to go 1 for 2 on those. Then we don't have to go for it on 4th and 1 and fail.

We stunk tonight. The defense tried like hell, but the depleted offense couldn't manage but 3 drives all game. I hate to make excuses for them, as I refuse to use injuries as excuses, but when it gets to this level you have to wonder a bit. We need to get healthy....it doesn't get any easier next week.

The rushing totals are inflated because of the two reverses to DeSean. I don't want to hear about health as the Bears had some players on defense injured as well...Game was there for the taking and we blew it against an inferior conference opponent.

Agree -- 20 total rush attempts. Four on the last drive when they tried to punch it in.

that gets you to 16 for the rest of the game. a lot of those rush yards from Jackson reverses. maybe two, three decent runs by Buckhalter. Booker a nonentity, and was mocked on the broadcast for his pathetic pass blocking.

I'm a little disturbed that the Eagle run game this year is pretty much the old Marshall Faulk Ram package, where they just hand off out of the shotgun.

Every team should have a couple of "go to" guys, but it's really awful how bad the Eagles look without Westy. You'd think that we never even had an offense before he got here. Four opportunities from inside about their 41 yard line, six points. No way that should happen.

this really is a different team without Westbrook
and as much as LJ kind of sucks...at least he helps in the red zone
MJG has played OK, but I miss Andrews

You have to tip your cap to 2 beautifully thrown passes by Orton. To Olson and to Hester. Unreal how perfect those throws were. Chalk it up to that darn blind squirrel

The Bears are a beatable team and we should have won even without 36, 82 and 73. But you know what? I'll get over it

            My perspective on this game:
            1. It's September! Giants were 1-3 last year and fans were calling for Eli and Coughlin's head. Nobody wins a title in September
            2. Defense is young. As they play more and more together, they are goign to get better
            3. Lot's of talent missing times and games on the offensive side of the ball right now. Get those guys back and we can roll
            4. Niners, Falcons, Bengals, Ravens, Cardinals, Browns are still on the schedule

I'll admit I have a slight worry. Our O struggled against Pitt too. We were lucky to win that one. But as long as nobody is out for the year.....this team has potential to rally...big time!

we must go at least .500 in the division. So Sunday's game is HUGE

I'm getting really tired of being reminded that the Giants won the Super Bowl last year. But your point is correct. And clearly, if you keep sneak into the playoffs with a healthy Westbrook and a defense that's gotten experience throughout the year, that's a good of a shot as any.

That being said, we can't dig ourselves into such a hole that we don't make the playoffs.

If we lose to the Redskins at home, then the panic button is waiting.

I'm watching Reid's PC right now. he's basically saying Akers better make the kicks starting now

I would hope he would say that. Akers has cost us more games than anyone else these past 2 years.

LOL! A lot of good that's going to do. Akers hasn't been right since the hamstring injury. He's been off his game for long enough that the coaches should have at least brought someone in to push him in camp. Akers better start making kicks. STFU Andy.
