Sources say Romo could miss up to 4 weeks with broken pinkie
ESPN reported that "sources" were saying this, and the Dallas Cowboys website includes blogging pages written by a few guys, including a blog written by Mickey Spagnola, their counterpart to Dave Spadaro. That blogging page had this. If true, Brad Johnson is their backup.

Romo Could Miss 4 Weeks With Pinky Fracture
Posted by rphillips at 10/13/2008 10:57 AM CDT
The fallout from Sunday's loss to Arizona just worsened: Pro Bowl quarterback Tony Romo fractured his right pinky finger on the first play of overtime and could miss up to four weeks.
Romo, who was under duress all game, wore a heavy wrap on his hand after the game. The team's initial diagnosis was a sprained finger.
The Cowboys have 18-year veteran Brad Johnson and Brooks Bollinger behind Romo."Philly fans are great....It's the only place where you pull up on the bus and you've got the grandfather, the grandmother, the kids and the grandkids - everybody flicking you off. At other stadiums, they give you the thumbs-down. Here, they give you the middle finger.”

Re: Bad News for Dallas Fans....
Confirmed. I'm listening to an afternoon radio show from the Pukes' website. One of the hosts just said, "Where do you see the Cowboys finishing at the end of the season with Romo missing at least a month?"
They're talking about how the defense needs to step up, nobody's going to look past even the Rams, that the Bucs can do some things to exploit their defense especially with Jeff Garcia, that the Giants' defense might put extra pressure on that backup...'they have to go 2-1, they can't get further behind in the NFC East'
Oh Jesus. They just said, "There's a good reason why they brought in Brooks Bollinger. You might want him instead of an 18-year veteran like Brad Johnson at QB as a backup.""Philly fans are great....It's the only place where you pull up on the bus and you've got the grandfather, the grandmother, the kids and the grandkids - everybody flicking you off. Re: Bad News for Dallas Fans....
Dallas will be fine. Johnson is exactly the type of QB that can come in and help them. He manages the game well and with Dallas Running game they should be fine.
Loses Romo hurts but not as much as you would thinkWere from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

Re: Bad News for Dallas Fans....
Dallas has a good enough running game and defense that they should still be able to win the majority of their games with Romo out.
The better question, and not just for TO bashers, is how TO will respond to potentially getting the ball less and/or not being in a position to make as many big plays with Romo out? TO has been acting up recently, and the Romo injury could cause him to act up more, especially if he isn't as involved in the offense.

Re: Bad News for Dallas Fans....
I think it is ironic that they got to play in overtime by taking advantage of an injured player on another team. The Cards' DL was injured and was trying to get off the field 25 yards behind the play. Dallas got the refs to call a 5 yard unabated to the QB on him. That made the FG attempt 53 yards instead of 58. The refs would not have called it had Dallas not demamded it. So all Dlass got out of sending the game into overtime by exploiting an injured player was to lose their QB for 3 games.

Are they really that good on defense? You do realize they are allowing 23.5 point per game good for 20th in the league. The Eagles by contract 20.5 pts per game 12th in the league.
BTW in my eyes on defense points per game is the most important statWere from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

Re: Bad News for Dallas Fans....
I see your point taz, Johnson won't do anything to lose a game. Here's hoping that Johnson, in his 18th year, isn't real mobile and can be blitzed and sacked...or that Brooks Bollinger just isn't very good."Philly fans are great....It's the only place where you pull up on the bus and you've got the grandfather, the grandmother, the kids and the grandkids - everybody flicking you off. Re: Bad News for Dallas Fans....
The drop off won't be New England like but there will be a drop off. Dallas has been vulnerable. The birds could have easily won that game and the girls would be sitting where the Eagles are. IMO while still fairly high quality overall as a team I don't see Johnson making a steady diet of game changing plays and thus the cowgirls will fall to the middle of the playoff pack at the 10 week point.Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
Hope is not a strategy

Plus, Dallas is in a bit of freefall. Owens is just going to get louder and Sanders was on NFL network telling Garrett to get the ball to Asshat more- that's always good for stoking the fire.
I really couldn't be happier, although it means they play the Giants without Romo and I was hoping the Cowboys could hand them their first loss.

TO is going to get really fed up.
This is ideal.
If Brad Johnson was 35 - I might agree. But this is going to be ugly for the Cowboys.Carson Wentz ERA
