Lucky he didn't stab a guy in the neck with a pair of scissors or something.......oh wait, that's the guy in the Hall of Fame........

BS aside, he's very, very lucky he didn't accidentally hurt some innocent bystander that night!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me Fresh? The Giant FO were doing back flips and high 5's when they heard what that Moron did. They have been kicking themselves in the ass on a daily basis since they gave him all that dough this summer. They were on the hook for about $50 million with this idiot. One HUGE pain in the ass gone and they will get their money back. These guys just hit the lottery.

I wasn't looking at it that way, 60. But you're right. Guess they got a "shot" of good luck there.

Absolutely amazing to me how stupid this guy is.His career & a boatload of jingle just went down the drain. Not only is he is a position to LOSE money ,he'll end up owing money.Rumor has it that he & Vick will star in THE LONGEST YARD II.
Nice combo when you think about it.
BTW,why in the fuck is Mayor Bloomburg speaking up on this.Whoops,I forgot, this is now a political platform issue.
Just give me ONE before I go!

Re: Burress gone for the season

you should hear everyone defending him on NY radio. i actually heard one of the station's (can't remember which one .. 660 or 1050) saying how it's similar to the Michael Vick dogfighting thing ... which isn't as bad as the pork industry. yeah, they were talking about how bad the pork industry is as a way to justify that what burress did wasn't that bad. whatever your feelings on either of those are, it doesn't make this burress thing right.

It's like they (the radio hosts) don't understand why there's a law requiring you to have a license to carry a gun .. or why it's illegal to lie to investigators about a particular incident, or why hospitals have to report gun-related injuries. I don't think he should be made an example of (like Bloomberg is inferring), but his punishment should be the same as anyone else who's not an all-pro, superbowl winning catch WR.

"done for the season" sounds more like "back for the playoffs" to me.

i'm waiting for the giants to really drop the hammer and look to void his contract.

Hmm.....according to the Associated Press, "The team also placed him on the reserve non-football injury list, which means the wide receiver couldn't come back for playoffs, either." I hope they're right.
