  • Tony Gonzalez

I predict the Eagles go after Gonzalez this offseason and acquire him from KC. Pioli is looking to rebuild somewhat and he knows this is chip to get him a 2nd round pick or so.

Whether we pay a 2 or 3 I don't know but I think Reid, Lurie and Banner might just dump the truck in 2009 and go for it.

Just my prediction. I have no inside knowledge.

I can see Tony G but they need a lot more. Give Tony G, Jordan Gross and Asoughma plus draft a RB (McCoy, Moreno) then I will say they went all in. If they do OT in round 1 and trade the other pick for 2 number 2s plus pick up a light in ass TE then I know Eagles land is still the same.
    I miss Philly!

Love to see it Big Fella, but I have no idea where that "gut feeling" of yours is comming from. The only thing that I heard from this FO so far is from the weasle crying about the economy and how the team will be conservative in the off season.

Considering that about 2 people give up their seat licenses every year, the weasel needs to stfu.

I really doubt that Reid gives up anything more than a 4th for a 32 year old player (even as good as Gonzo is). Its just not his way. The question is will Pioli take the 4th or will somebody offer more?

Personally I'd love to see them go after Gross and Jacobs as FA and focus on the rest of the team needs in the draft. Signing Gross would mean the 2nd first rounder can go towards a young stud TE.

I'd like to see them package something and go after that stud from Oklahoma State Pettigrew. Let's bring in some real alent for a change.

I'd like ro see them do something also but I've been disappointed in the TE race before. I expect he thinks Celek is developing into a nice player and they can get a guy in the 3rd or 4th. Hope I am wrong
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
                Hope is not a strategy

This guy sounds like the remedy. But we all know that the draft is a crapshoot.

                  Pettigrew Scouting report:
http://www.draftcountdown.com/scouti...-Pettigrew.php Says that "he can be an extension of the O-line, almost serving as an extra OT. Gets a good push in the run game. Tough with killer instinct and plays with a mean streak. Big, soft hands and can make the difficult catch. Not a burner, but the best all-around TE prospect to come out in awhile."

I think Gonzales could bring a lot of this to the table as well, but he would only be a short-term fix. Snagging Pettigrew(or another drafted TE) would cover that need for a while longer, possibly.

This Pettigrew is a man amongst boys TP. He's a real stud. I don't see him getting past the top 10. The only way that he falls to us is if they come up with some dirt on him.

He might be a top 10 prospect Popper but unless Buffalo takes him at #12(I think) he should slide to us at #21.The teams in between have bigger needs at TE.If he is there at #21 Big Red's gotta pull the trigger.

Maybe we'll get lucky!! Buffalo helped us out the year we landed Bunkley.

I too think this will happen. Draft day trade, 2nd round pick

this will be a "go for it now" year with McNabb back. We will be aggresive in FA
