  • NLCS roster: Park, Bruntlett in, Myers, Kendrick out

That should spell the end of Brett Myers' career in Philadelphia. Good riddance.

Hopefully Chan Ho is fully healed. They will need him.

An extra position player on the bench should help keep guys like Cliff Lee from having to pinch-run in the NLCS.

    No real complaints here.

Myers may be "healthy" but I think its clear Charlie has no confidence in him

    A healthy Park > Kendrick

I really hope Ruben upgrades the bench this offseason.

Would anyone rather have Mayberry instead of Bruntlett?

Supposedly Myers was not happy and it got ugly. Too bad. I'd hate for him to leave on a bad note. Bruntlett on the roster is a head scratcher. I'd rather have mayberry than Bruntlett as a RH bat.

Knowing his history and immaturity, would anything else be expected?

It's got to suck to be left off the team in favor of Eric Bruntlett. But he's very shaky right now and I don't think Manuel trusts him at all. Park takes Myers' place.

Agreed. And I'm sure in Brett's mind (as it probably would be even in more mature athletes) he believes he busted his ass to get back on the field sooner than most expected, only to be unappreciated and cast aside.

Tough call for Charlie and was probably very difficult for him to tell Myers, as I would assume he did himself!

Bruntlett,it even sounds like some nasty fungus growing on the underside of your nutsack. Just when you think it's gone ,it pops back up.Hard to believe we can't find a .200 hitting, avg fielding utility INF to improve the bench.

Did he spend a lot of time in a hyperbaric chamber?

Park already pays off BIG tonight.

All heat for Mr Steroids from here on out!

IMHO, the 2-0 change to Drug Boy that he hit out should have been heat. Cole had made him look bad earlier on the change, but Manny hadn't hit his fastball either. He was just sitting on the change.

I'd like to see them stay with inside heat until he proves he can get around on it.

                      But what do I know?

                      PS: Sorry, wrong thread!
