Phils will get a comp pick (think it's the No. 36 pick), plus SF's 2nd rounder -- the 5th pick in the second round. A nice haul. Too bad they don't get a No. 1 pick though -- Giants are picking in Top 15 because they were so bad, and those picks are protected, can't be used as free agent compensation.

Giants are desperate for bats. They are making some bad signings -- last year it was Zito.

That is just absolutely awful. Just - I have no words. They just gave Aaron "Freaking" Rowand $80 milllion? Are you kidding?

Good for Aaron. He's rich as heck now. When he's batting .260 with 5 Homers in August of 2009 - they will be like "Aw crap.".
